"Shouldn’t we hold out for the person who doesn’t just tolerate our little quirks, but actually kind of likes them?"

Anonymous said: Hey I just finished reading Spiral Bound..Loved!!! But I was wondering, have you wrote any about Kate and Alexis relationship? Is just that the show is so weak on that part and I haven't come across to any good stories of Kate and Alexis, even though there is so much to explore on their relationship.. Maybe is just me, but I wish it had more Kate/Alexis moments. what you say?
Hey, thanks anon! I’m glad you enjoyed it (and I promise to get back to working on the sequel ASAP).
In terms of the Kate/Alexis relationship, I really haven’t written all that much about it. I’ve tried to weave a little into Spiral Bound where it seemed fitting, but to be entirely honest, it’s something I tend to avoid because I’m not very comfortable writing Alexis. I find it harder to relate to her in recent seasons so I can’t really seem to put the words together in my head as to how a scene between them would go. That being said, I’m always open to prompts…who knows, maybe the right prompt will get the creative juices flowing.

"With regard to the ending, many times when a “main character is on the chopping block” occurs, fans feel like it’s cheap because we know that character isn’t going to die. They’re contracted for next season! His name is in the show title! But that’s never the point. The worry of death is never the point of that kind of cliffhanger. It’s about how the character will get out of the near-death moment and, more so, what it means for the characters and relationships going forward. I once read a quote that stated that television wasn’t about the big events, but rather reactions to the big events. We aren’t meant to wonder whether Castle will survive, we’re meant to wonder when they will get married, who pushed him off the road, where he is, and how this will affect their future in the season to come."

By all means, dislike all or parts of the Castle finale. Express your opinion (respectfully). We all have a right to our own thoughts, feelings, and opinions.
But if there is hate on my dash directed at anyone involved in the show or at fans who don’t share your opinion, you’ll find yourself losing a follower. It’s as simple as that. I won’t stand for it. This isn’t what the Castle fandom is supposed to be about.
